Less than a 10-minute drive east of Red Deer, this ski area has six lifts, 18 runs, a terrain park and super pipe, and snow tubing.
Drop in at the nature centre to find out what interpretive programs are running this week. The massive park is also home to the Historic Fort Normandeau and the Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary.
Go for dinner, a trail ride, or a carriage ride on this 217-acre ranch that was originally the homestead of Red Deer’s first mayor.
In the Waskasoo Park system, these connected ponds are a popular place for fishing, boating, ice skating, and walking the paved trails.
A 20-minute drive west of Red Deer, Sylvan Lake is known for its waterskiing, fishing, pond hockey, and fun events.
